TDF Community Design Program – We Bring Your Dream Design to Life

Hey Everyone,

We’ve been watching the forums, and we see it all the time: members debating the “perfect” body:

“A little slimmer waist.”

“A bit more curve in the hips.”

“Shoulders that look more natural.”

And honestly? We kept asking ourselves: why should a factory guess what you want, when the people who truly love these dolls are right here, talking about it every single day?

That’s exactly why the Community Design Program was born.

What is the Community Design Program?

It’s a body-development project that brings together TDF members, 3D designers, and our manufacturing team, all in one room (virtually, at least).

In a nutshell:

  • Post your dream body in the dollforum link below.
  • If someone is interested in your design, they’ll contact you directly.
  • You can also respond to users who express interest in your body design.
  • Once both parties are ready, we’ll begin the Manufacturer Evaluation phase to finalize the details.
  • A participation fee is required only when we’re ready to start the 3D design process.

It only takes two members to get the project started!!!

Together, we’re creating more than just another body. We’re creating one that’s truly ours—designed by the community, for the community.

Who knows? The next iconic body might just start with your idea. So speak up; we’re all ears.

The real goal?

Find a body that a small, passionate group of players absolutely loves. Because some of the best products out there aren’t crowd-pleasers; they’re niche-killers. They nail a specific, unmet desire for the people who truly care.

So if your vision only speaks to a handful of folks? That’s perfect. That’s exactly where magic happens.

Your benefit

If the final body design is approved and we decide to move forward with full production:

1. Lifetime Design Contributor Recognition

Members who have paid the participation fee will be recognized as Lifetime Design Contributors for this body.

Your TDF forum username will:

  • Be featured on the product page for this body.
  • Be engraved on the back of the doll’s head as a permanent tribute to your contribution.

2. Long-Term VIP Benefits

  • Long-term VIP pricing on our current and future products, with discounts of up to 20%.

Please note: These benefits are reserved exclusively for Original Members — those who participated from the beginning of the project, starting with the participation payment and continuing through the completion of the 3D modeling phase.

FAQ:

Alright, let’s break it down. You’ve got questions — we’ve got answers.

We’re starting with three community-designed bodies. If the response is strong, this program will continue to grow. Our goal is to build something long-term, where every body has its own story, from the original idea to the final product.

The participation fee is $1,500. As an Original Member, you will receive:

  • One S-TPE doll featuring the community-designed custom body (including jelly breasts, EVO skeleton, and articulated fingers)
  • One complimentary S-TPE head from our brand
  • Free sea freight shipping (approximately 20 days)

Payment is only required once all three conditions are met:

  • At least 2 members confirm their commitment to the same design;
  • We evaluate and confirm that the body design is feasible for production;
  • We approve the start of the 3D modeling phase.

Once these conditions are met, participants will pay the $1,500 participation fee, and the project will officially begin.

Developing a new body design is a collaborative process, and creating something truly unique always involves some uncertainty.

If, after development, the final result does not meet the agreed quality standards and project expectations, your full participation fee will be converted into Store Credit, which can be used toward any current or future product in our store.

Your Store Credit never expires, so you can use it whenever you’re ready.

A single participant can represent a great idea, but it doesn’t necessarily show that others share the same vision.

When at least two people are willing to commit to the same design, it demonstrates that the concept resonates with a small but genuine community of enthusiasts.

We originally considered requiring 10 participants before launching a project. However, larger groups often lead to:

  • More conflicting opinions
  • More communication challenges
  • Slower decision-making

Instead, we’ve chosen a lower threshold of two participants. This keeps the development process collaborative while allowing projects to move forward efficiently.

Our goal isn’t to maximize short-term profits.

Yes. If, after production, the community agrees that certain aspects of the body can be improved, we’re open to developing a revised version.

If a proposed revision is supported by at least four participants in total, including the original participants, we’ll seriously consider developing a second-generation version.

The more support a revision receives, the more confident we’ll be in continuing to invest in future improvements.

Our goal is to develop three unique community-designed bodies through this program. The program will remain active until all three body designs have been completed.

We’ll post regular updates for each project in the TDF community forum, so you can follow its development from concept to production.

Typical timeline for each body:

  • 3D modeling: ~1 month (under ideal conditions)
  • Mold manufacturing: ~1 month
  • Sea freight shipping: ~20+ days

As a general guideline, we may decide not to move forward with a project if the estimated finished weight exceeds 50 kg (110 lbs).

If a proposed body is expected to be too heavy, we may recommend:

  • Adjusting the body proportions
  • Slightly reducing the overall size

Because S-TPE bodies are manufactured using a high-temperature molding process, the internal foam core is compressed during production, limiting how much weight can be reduced.

Typical weight reduction for S-TPE bodies: approximately 3–5 kg (6.6–11 lbs).

Please note that reducing the weight may also affect:

  • Skin softness
  • Joint flexibility

Adult Body Designs Only

This program is exclusively for adult female body designs.

Please do not submit any concepts or reference materials that include childlike features or characteristics.

Project Workflow

Step 1: Share Your Body

Describing your ideal body, including:

  • Desired height
  • Body proportions
  • Key physical features
  • Reference images
  • Your design concept

Example:

“I’d like to create a naturally curvy body with a realistic look:

  • A defined but not overly slim waist
  • Fuller hips with noticeable curves
  • Legs with more realistic human proportions.”

Step 2: Find Other Members Who Share Your Vision

If other members like your idea, they can contact you to discuss the project.

Together, you can talk about:

  • Body proportions
  • Design details
  • Whether you’d like to develop the body as a team

Step 3: Manufacturer Evaluation

Once at least two members have confirmed they would like to participate, contact us.

We’ll review the project together, including:

  • Whether the design is suitable for production
  • Whether it is compatible with our skeleton system
  • Whether there are any weight or structural concerns
  • Whether any proportion adjustments are necessary

Please note that we reserve the right to decline designs that are not practical to manufacture or involve excessive production risks.

The reason is simple: developing a new body is much more than creating a mold. It also involves:

  • Skeleton engineering
  • Packaging design
  • Manufacturing processes

We want every project to be developed responsibly and thoughtfully, rather than wasting time and resources on designs that are unlikely to succeed.

Step 4: 3D Design & Development

Once the project is approved, we’ll begin creating the 3D model.

The development process will be shared openly with the community, including:

  • Concept design
  • 3D modeling
  • 3D printing and prototypes
  • Final approval

Our goal is to make the entire development process as transparent as possible.

Step 5: Mold Making & Production

After the final design has been approved, production begins:

  • Mold manufacturing
  • Skeleton production
  • Doll manufacturing
  • Shipping after confirmation

3D Designers Are Welcome

If you’re an experienced 3D artist, we’d love to have you involved.

If your skills meet our requirements and the Design Creator confirms your involvement, you may join the design team for that body project.

As recognition for your contribution, if the project reaches production, you will receive one finished doll featuring the body you helped create, free of charge.

Community members are also welcome to recommend talented 3D artists who may be a good fit for the project.

Design Ownership & Community Recognition

The original design concept and initial body specifications are created through collaboration between the Design Creator and participating community members, and are recognized as a community-created body design.

However, the following remain owned and managed by our factory:

  • Production molds
  • Manufacturing processes
  • Commercial production rights
  • Sales and distribution rights

This structure allows us to recover development costs through future sales and continue investing in new Community Design Program projects.

In return, the Design Creator and Original Members will receive:

  • Lifetime recognition as the original creators of the body design
  • Permanent credit on the product page
  • Their TDF forum username engraved on the back of the doll’s head

Whenever this body is offered for sale, we will clearly acknowledge that it originated from our Community Design Program.

Our Vision

We don’t expect every body design to appeal to everyone.

Instead, we hope each project finds its own community of passionate supporters, even if that community is small.

Our goal is to bring together customers, 3D artists, and our factory team to create companion dolls that may never have existed through traditional product development.

We believe our customers are not just users; they are some of the best designers. Their ideas, experiences, and passions are what make truly unique creations possible.

We’re excited to begin this journey together.
